Thank you for visiting my digital portfolio. I’m a born and raised midwesterner that relocated to Southern California in 2014 and I’ve been lovin’ the sunshine state since. Before the pandemic, I had been a full time lighting and video designer for theatre, concerts, tours, and events across the country for over 10 years . Through my time in the live event industry, I had learned to value the collaboration and elevation of others as much as I value the quality of work I provide. I firmly believe in the importance of putting forth our absolute best effort on every project or opportunity we are given. If not for the sake of great art, then for the duty of simply being a good team player. Of equal importance, is the ability to understand the needs, timeline, and limitations of each production.
As most know, the pandemic destroyed the live event industry job market and many of us had to seek new careers for awhile. A lot of my skill sets crossed over perfectly with editorial and my background in high pressure situations made the post production environment so natural to me. So, I teamed up with a friend and started a business in streaming and editing events during the lockdown. It was so successful, I switched to full time editorial work. It was the easiest switch I’ve ever made and it has become my greatest passion. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of working with incredible teams on incredible shows. It is a great thing to be able to build new worlds, create characters, and drive plots through the simplicity of a cut. I will always look forward to telling a good story.
